Jacob Puckett, Co-Founder of Christian Planning

Jacob Puckett co-founded Christian Planning with his brother, Aaron, to help Christians approach financial decisions with wisdom, care, and a deeper understanding of biblical stewardship. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Certified Kingdom Advisor®, Jacob brings together experience in pastoral ministry, theological study, and financial planning in his work with individuals and families.

Jacob writes Christian Planning’s blog and e-books, exploring how Christian faith shapes our understanding of money, work, generosity, retirement, and the life we are building. His writing draws on biblical theology, considering these questions within Scripture’s larger story of creation, redemption, and new creation. His aim is to help readers connect careful study of Scripture with the practical responsibilities of everyday life.

Before entering financial planning, Jacob served as a pastor, walking alongside people through significant decisions, uncertainty, and seasons of change. That experience continues to shape how he works with clients: listening closely, taking their concerns seriously, and helping them consider financial choices in light of their relationships, responsibilities, and convictions.

Jacob holds a bachelor’s degree from Moody Bible Institute and a Master of Arts in Religion from Westminster Theological Seminary. He also received counseling training through the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation, where he served as a Recitation Instructor.

Jacob and his wife, Gina, have two daughters and a yellow Lab named Otis. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar and listening to live music.
